Artist's Description
This piece of artwork shows a vintage scene of downtown Pittsburgh, specifically the Kaufmann Clock set in the 1950's. The train car and cobblestone streets were a common feature in downtown Pittsburgh during this era. Anyone who is familiar with Pittsburgh recognizes the beauty and detail of this clock. The artist was inspired to draw this scene at the encouragement of his Uncle Roger. And as such, it is a reminder to him that while everything changes around us, some things can remain as timeless as this clock.
The artist recommends the following specs to frame this piece...Archival Matte Paper; Inner Matte - Fudge; Outer Matte - Rust; Frame - SM2 (black with gold)
About John Wiegand
My name is John Wiegand and I am a Fine Artist who specializes in meticulous colored pencil drawings. I got my start in high school with my first colored pencil drawing named, The Bunk, which was entered in the Kiski Valley Artists Guild in 1982 and won a 2nd place ribbon from that show. All of the drawings submitted here are finished works. One of my favorites involves the Zebra, Rhino, Giraffe and Hippos. Together, when...
