In this piece of art, John wanted to show the fall of man and woman from grace in the garden of Eden. It all starts in the lower right hand corner with Eve handing the bitten apple to Adam. The man and woman faces represent all of humanity and the tunnels show that we are all connected. The tree in the center is the tree of life, with the leaves dripping water (life) and the tree frogs (death). The rays of sunshine (on the left) point the way to Calvary and essentially hope, since the cross is the only way to salvation.
This is John's largest drawing to date at 24" x 18" and took over 350 hours to complete.
