This is the 2nd scene of John's Mt. Kilimanjaro series. (All of these pictures make one large panorama when put side by side.)
John was inspired to draw these when he first laid eyes on Mt. Kilimanjaro. The original size is 14" x 11".
About John Wiegand
My name is John Wiegand and I am a Fine Artist who specializes in meticulous colored pencil drawings. I got my start in high school with my first colored pencil drawing named, The Bunk, which was entered in the Kiski Valley Artists Guild in 1982 and won a 2nd place ribbon from that show. Since then, I have honed my craft and my work is very unique and full of vibrant colors. My drawings take up to 200 hours to complete. I use Prismacolor Colored Pencils to draw with because the lead is soft and the colors are intense. The colors are so striking that people often think I used pastels in my work.
